There once was a story of four awesome musicians from all four corners of southern California who have played in many bands separately, only to cross paths and form the most entertaining group that ever took to stage. As quoted by one of the band members, “We have never had so much fun wearing hazmat suits and flowerpots on our heads”.
Through Being Cool recreates the many sounds, moves, and nuances of the original DEVO. Playing such hits as: Whip It, Girl U Want, Freedom of Choice, Gates of Steel, Uncontrollable Urge, Jocko Homo, Mongoloid, Satisfaction, That’s Good, Working in a Coal Mine, Peek-a-Boo, Through Being Cool, Smart Patrol/Mr. DNA, Beautiful World, and many more... Great venues to see the band: Pala Casino, The Grove, Silverado Summer Concert Series, Gas Lamp in Long Beach, Belly Up in Solana Beach, The Boiler Room in Temecula, Biergarten in Huntington Beach, Club 80’s Bar and Grill in Corona, New Wave Bar in Bellflower, That 80’s Bar in Montclair, Total 80’s Bar and Grille in Fullerton, and more.
Follow the band on Facebook, Instagram and twitter
And for even more fun, come see them live !!!!!
Through Being Cool consists of FOUR! human-like members who play instruments, sing, dance, and perform slight of hand magic, and who have done so in many other bands or as birthday party clowns spanning two centuries. Several venues describe them as "practically housebroken!"
