Mike Peters Presents The Alarm's Greatest Hits
Following the 2019 release of The Alarm’s critically acclaimed No.1 UK Rock Chart album Sigma, the band’s much-loved frontman Mike Peters will follow up a hugely successful 40 date US tour to play all the hits and more on an extensive Mike Peters presents The Alarm - Hurricane of Change 30th Anniversary Acoustic Tour of North America.
Throughout the Hurricane of Change North American Tour 2020, Mike Peters will honour The Alarm’s late ‘80s trilogy of iconic albums, ‘Eye Of The Hurricane’, ‘Electric Folklore’ and ‘Change’, and will feature intimate acoustic readings of some of The Alarm’s most famous songs such as Rain In The Summertime (1987 – international Top 20 hit which was recently covered by both The Killers and also by Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan at The Alarm’s Cleveland, Ohio show) and Sold Me Down The River (1989 – a US No.1 Rock Song), alongside a host of Alarm standards such as Rescue Me, Strength and Spirit of ’ 76 as captured on the 1988 live album ‘Electric Folklore’.
To coincide with the tour, Mike Peters and The Alarm will release a brand new album entitled STREAM [Hurricane of Change] which takes listeners on a unique musical adventure that flows both downstream and upstream, telling a moving autobiographical story as lived and breathed by Mike Peters and The Alarm from 1986-1990.
The double CD Release features 39 pieces of brand new recorded music, all joined together by a Mike Peters spoken word essay, that weaves a brand new narrative into the original lyrical DNA of such classic Alarm songs as Rain In The Summertime, Rescue Me, One Step Closer To Home, Sold Me Down The River and A New South Wales. There’s also a host of brand new song recordings including the raging acoustic guitar driven Irish Sea, and the dramatic Ballad of Randolph Turpin.
Stream [Hurricane of Change] will be released in June 2020 to coincide with the start of the Hurricane Of Change North American Tour .
